ABC Motors: Practical Steps Towards Sustainability
ABC Motors is taking practical steps to reduce its environmental footprint through investments in solar energy, cardboard recycling and responsible electronic waste management.
Investing in Solar Energy
The company has invested approximately Rs 13.95 million in solar installations across ABC Centre, ABC Car Gallery, and its DSD and Body and Paint departments. With a combined installed capacity of 257 kW, these systems have generated reported annual electricity cost savings of approximately Rs 1.58 million. Further installations and capacity upgrades are planned, while additional opportunities to deploy photovoltaic panels across the company’s sites are being assessed.

Giving Materials a Second Life
ABC Motors is also promoting the recovery and reuse of materials. Through WeCycle, the company has recycled more than one ton of cardboard, with the recovered packaging supporting the production of kraft paper. This gives discarded materials a second life and contributes to more circular resource use.

Responsible Electronic Waste Management
In addition, ABC Motors has taken steps to ensure the responsible management of electronic waste. Obsolete computers, monitors, printers and other equipment have been processed through B.E.M. Enterprises.
Together for a more sustainable future
Together, these initiatives reflect ABC Motors’ commitment to more responsible resource management. By combining renewable energy, material recovery and proper electronic waste disposal, the company is making practical progress towards more sustainable operations while delivering financial savings and keeping valuable materials in circulation.
